  1. Hi - i'm trying to set my loop buffer length to 180 secs, but it's having none of it! It will only record segments of up to around 4gb or 45 secs. To save you asking all these questions, here is my set up:

Split movie every 4gb is UNCHECKED
I record at 30 fps in Full Size
Loop buffer length is 180 secs
Hide mouse, lock framrate and lossless rgb are all UNCHECKED
    Sound options are all unchecked

    My system is i5 2500k @4.5ghz Win 7 ult 64
    GTX 670 2gb
    8gb Ram
1tb seagate 7200 64mb HDD (only for fraps footage)
500gb Seagate 7200 64mb HDD (for OS etc)

Is there perhaps a hidden limit to how long the loop buffer length can be?
    Thx for your time guys!

I never realised you could change the time on the buffer  Not that I ever use the buffer.

I did a couple of quick tests and from what I can tell it will only record up until it hits roughly 4GB and then start the looping again, no matter how big you set the buffer.

I changed it to 180 seconds, obviously that's 3 mins but it only recorded 1min 49secs and it wasn't from the beginning of when I started recording.

From what I can tell, the only thing you can do is lower the resolution, fps and so on to make it take longer to hit the 4GB limit.

Either that or lower the buffer size :D
